Bali Process on People Smuggling crime

BackgroundIncreased problems associated with irregular migration , people smuggling and the flow of trafficking in persons in the Asia - Pacific region , has been pushing countries in the region to establish a mechanism of intra - regional cross- country to tackle the problem . In 2002 and 2003 , Indonesia and Australia initiated the implementation of Bali Regional Ministerial Meeting on People Smuggling , Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime ( BRMC BRMC I and II ) . Both meetings resulted in a Regional Consultative Process ( RCP ) , known as the Bali Process on People Smuggling , Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime ( Bali Process ) which Indonesia together with Australia acting as Co - chairs .

Background
 Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Nuclear Weapons ( Comprehensive Nuclear Test - Ban Trea ty / CTBT ) is a treaty that prohibits any type of nuclear test explosions method . CTBT was opened for signature since September 1996 . To date, 183 countries have signed the CTBT and 159 countries have ratified it . Until now , the CTBT can not be applicable ( entry into force ) for 8 states whose ratifications are required in Annex II has not ratified it .

Corruption

 

The United Nations Convention against Corruption ( UNCAC ) entered into force ( entry into force ) from the date of December 14, 2005 . Until now , a total of 140 countries have signed the Convention and 165 countries have ratified it .UNCAC provides a standardization in the prevention and eradication of corruption that includes five (5) main aspects , namely prevention , criminalization and law enforcement , international cooperation , asset returns ( asset recovery ) , as well as technical assistance and exchange of information .

 Previously , a woman named Miriam Carey broke Capitol area with his car . 38 -year -old woman was allegedly suffering from depression . He was shot dead while trying to flee officers .
